Family name
Please pardon me, i do not read or write French, but i know that many french speakers are multilingual, unlike us backwards americans :) (no sarcasm there, we really need to be more linguistically sophisticated). i wanted to note that Senegal is a family name in the US. not common, but appears to be french/cajun, primarily in Louisiana, with at least some of the so named being african american, who do not appear to have adopted the name in honor of the country. I wonder if it is also a family name in france.(Mercurywoodrose, not logged in).12.125.80.214 (d) 7 mai 2012 à 19:11 (CEST)
- Indeed an interesting observation, that deserves an answer: the internet phone book lists 12 people in France with surname Sénégal. None of them have obvious African first names. Siind
Siind mal écrit et mal lu : sans doute en considérant une écriture en alphabet arabe. Wisdood (discuter) 28 juillet 2023 à 16:42 (CEST)
